All manuscripts submitted to Scientia Naturalis Letters undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure the highest standards of academic quality, objectivity, and fairness. In this process, both the identities of the authors and the reviewers are concealed from each other to prevent any potential bias.

The peer review process consists of the following steps:

  1. Initial Editorial Screening. Each submission is first evaluated by the editorial office to ensure that it aligns with the journal’s scope and meets basic quality standards, including clarity, originality, and compliance with ethical guidelines.
  2. Assignment to Handling Editor. Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are assigned to a subject-area editor who oversees the review process.
  3. Reviewer Invitation. The handling editor selects two or more independent expert reviewers based on their expertise and research background. Reviewers are invited to evaluate the manuscript’s scientific quality, originality, methodology, and significance.
  4. Double-Blind Review. Reviewers provide detailed and constructive comments, along with a recommendation to accept, revise, or reject the manuscript. Both the authors and reviewers remain anonymous throughout this stage.
  5. Editorial Decision. Based on the reviewers’ feedback, the handling editor makes an informed decision. If revisions are required, authors are invited to submit a revised manuscript with a point-by-point response to the reviewers’ comments.
  6. Final Evaluation and Acceptance. Revised submissions may undergo additional rounds of review. Once the editor is satisfied that the manuscript meets the journal’s standards, it is accepted for publication.
  7. Production and Publication. Accepted articles are copyedited, typeset, and published in the next available issue. All articles are published open access and made immediately available to the public.

Scientia Naturalis Letters is committed to ensuring a timely, ethical, and transparent review process, with all participants expected to uphold the highest standards of academic integrity and confidentiality.
